*~*~* The Fibrettes Craft Sale *~*~*
 On Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th of December the Fibrettes embarked on their first craft fair.  The objective, to raise money for our end of year show.  As we were suppose to be taking part in an already organised event that was cancelled due to weather conditions we decided to organise our own at last minute.  It went off without a hitch.  We were given a lot of support from our tutors, in regards to promotion.  We raised a lot of money from selling our hand made items and we are looking forward to our End Of Year Show which is sure to be a Spectacular Event.
 From doing the craft sale I did learn a few things and I felt somethings could have been organised a little better for next time.  I felt that too many people were expected to be at the stall at one time and that a timetable should be put in place next time round.  I also felt that the pricing of some items was made up on the spot.  I feel that more time should go into the pricing as not all items had prices agreed before the sale.  Over all I felt for the time that was in it, the Sale was a huge success and We gave the hallways some Holiday Cheer .
*~*~* MERRY CHRISTMAS *~*~*

Bye for Now!

Hey =D
Been hard at work with our 'Hand and Lock' and 'What We Wore' projects.  'Hand and Lock' an English Embroidery competition which we are entering as part of a brief and 'What We Wore' a project about Fashion from the past.  For what we wore I have decided to look at wedding dresses in my family and the history of wedding dresses from different eras.  I'm including research from the 1940's/50's when my nanny got married and 1970's when my mam got married. As we have to research three pieces I was considering either my sisters wedding dress or my dream wedding dress.  Hmmm... what to choose? Only time will tell

After our five day weekend from college (because of the crazy snow), it was time to hand up our latest projects. These included our Birdhouse, mine a moulin rouge themed birdcage,  Our Visual Studies body of work and our collection of textile fibre samples.  It has been a busy few weeks and it was a nice feeling to finally hand in weeks of hardwork.  Although its not time to sit back and relax as our new briefs are in full swing, but Christmas is just around the corner and it will be nice to take a few days off from our busy timetable.  I'll keep you posted.   Bye for now.
